These terms describe the public Tree Definitions website and online enquiry process. Separate written quote or contract terms govern any agreed tree work.
Tree Definitions is operated by The trustee for the Hall Family Trust, trading as TREE DEFINITIONS TREE SERVICES, ABN 64 031 604 212, in Perth and the Perth Hills, Western Australia. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that business.

Website information
We aim to keep service information useful and current, but general website content is not a tree-risk assessment, emergency instruction or substitute for inspecting a particular site. Recommendations and availability depend on the tree, property, access and agreed scope.
Enquiries and quotes
Submitting a form does not create a contract, reserve a booking or confirm a price. An automated acknowledgement does not confirm that we have assessed or accepted the work. A booking, price and scope must be agreed with us separately.
Authority, approvals and agreed work
Provide accurate information and tell us if you are acting for an owner, tenant, strata company or other organisation. Before work starts, the agreed quote or engagement should identify the scope, price and any applicable GST, payment arrangements, access, clean-up and waste removal, and who will obtain any required approvals. Changes to scope or additional charges must be agreed before the extra work proceeds.
Tree work may require owner or strata consent, local government approval or other permits. An enquiry or quote is not permission to remove or prune a tree. Required approvals and safe access must be confirmed before work begins.
Safety
Do not rely on this website to approach damaged trees, hanging branches, electrical lines or another immediate hazard. Keep clear and contact the appropriate emergency service, network operator or authority where urgent public or electrical safety is involved.
Service availability
Services, delivery areas, material availability and scheduling can change. Any qualification, insurance, equipment, tender or reporting requirement relevant to a job should be confirmed as part of the quote or engagement.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Where those guarantees apply, services must be provided with due care and skill, be fit for a purpose you make known and that we agree to meet, and be supplied within a reasonable time if no time is agreed. Goods supplied, including mulch, are also subject to applicable consumer guarantees.
If goods or services fail to meet an applicable guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy such as repair, replacement, refund, cancellation or compensation, depending on the circumstances. These terms do not impose a blanket exclusion of liability or remove those remedies.
Acceptable use
Use the website lawfully. Do not submit false or unauthorised personal information, send spam or malicious material, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with the website or its security controls.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, website copy, branding and original visual material belong to Tree Definitions or are used with permission. You may view, share links to and print website information for personal use or to consider our services. Other reproduction or commercial use requires permission unless allowed by law. Concept images are identified and must not be treated as photographs of actual staff, projects or equipment.

The website may use infrastructure and security services to operate forms and deliver enquiries. External links and services are governed by their own terms and availability.

These website terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and applicable Commonwealth laws. Western Australian courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under mandatory law to bring a claim elsewhere.
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. You may also seek assistance from Consumer Protection WA. This does not prevent you from exercising your legal rights or seeking a remedy through an appropriate court or tribunal.
Changes to these terms
Updates will be published here with a revised date and apply to future website use. Updating this page does not retrospectively change an accepted quote or existing contract.
